The Maplewood Barn Theater Presents William Shakespeare's Merry Wives of Windsor Cast Photos and Brief Bios Feather Posting from the Spirit Galleries - April, 2004 Posted in the order creation ** no photo availiable Additional Bio Information compiled by Megan Reinhard |

** Christy LeMaster (Director) Alternating between teaching and directing LaMaster is ideally suited to handle the precocious cast of Merry Wives of Windsor. Her previous directing credits include Paula Vogel's How I Learned to Drive, Holly Kern's Asia and John Cameron Mitchell's Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Of recent she provided support for the 2004 True/False Film Festival and looks forward to resuming her duties when the Festival returns in 2005. Along with her other endeavors she co-founded the Pedestrian Theater Company with Daryl Keller and Holly Kerns and will perform The After Hours for that company later this year. Christy would like to thank her girls, JG, the cast, her wonderful stage managers and her tireless producers. And on an even happier note, LeMaster would also like to welcome into the world, an upcoming addition to the Keller-Dodds family. |

** Aaron Hunsley (Master Francis Ford) An experienced and seasoned performer, Hunsley has appeared in numerous Maplewood Barn productions including Annie Get Your Gun as Jake Oakley and Hamlet as Claudius, but of recent he's been widely noted for his brilliant turn in The Importance of Being Ernest. With his elegant and distinct voice as his trademark, he's easily one of the finest actors on the Missouri theater scene. Along with tackling the boards as Master Ford, Aaron is also a gifted and prolific writer for Free Range Radio Theater. His writing credits The Belly of Hell, Confounding Factors, Incriminating Evidence, Rack and Pinion, Ghost Eye and the Sun Stone, Cesare Borgia and the Wicked Abbess (first in a series), Meghan Brian Gets Her Man, and the long awaited Aurora mini-epic. |

Elisabeth (Betsy) Irving (Mistress Alice Ford) An actress ever present on the Missouri theater boards, Betssy Irving has been seen in Barn's productions of The Tempest as Lady Gonzalo, Romeo and Juliet as the young heroine's devoted nurse, and now has taken on the task of playing the Merry Wives' Devine Lady of Mischief, Mistress Ford. Endowed with clever and mischievous intelligence, Irving infuses her characters with charm, humor and inscrutable wit. Working full time as public defense attorney, she lends her time and talent to the Maplewood Barn Theater when ever the opportunity arises.
(To the right, Irving is pictured with Amy Moun in the Maplewood Barn production of Romeo and Juiet.) |

** Gabriella Johnson (Mistress Margaret Page) Johnson is excited to be appearing in her second show at the barn. (You may have seen her as the exceedingly radiant 4th Player in Hamlet.) Gab is the eldest of four kids and just completed her first year at Mizzou. To complement Irving's Divine Lady of Mischief, Mistress Ford, it's certain Johnson will add own special flair as the other merry wife of Windsor, Mistress Page. Our deepest sympathies go to guy playing Sir John Falstaff. |

Chris "Lefty" Spurgeon (Master George Page) A long standing supporter and performer for the Maplewood Barn Theater, (He's been hanging around the barn in a desultory manner in non-descript clothing for around twelve years now and they put him in plays to keep from getting underfoot.) Some of these productions include but are not limited to Romeo and Juliet Kiss Me Kate, and Oklahoma.
(Spurgeon as Friar Laurence from Romeo and Juliet.) |
Whitney Keene Derendinger (Sir John Falstaff) Derendinger comes to the Barn with a well rounded beard and an extensive theater background including several national tours with the Repertory Theater of America. He appeared in their productions of Play it Again Sam as Dick Christy and Humphrey Bogart, with prevous perfomances for their tours for A Gentleman Scoundrel and the Mumford Manor Murder Mystery. He now brings his high energy and his flair for comedy to the role of that wicked but lovable rouge Falstaff. |
